Good, full of creepy atmosphere. Algernon Blackwood's best work are his John Silence stories, but this is his best (non John Silence) story. Being written about 100 years ago, it is more suspense and mystery (with a healthy dose of cryptozoology) than horror. It gets extra points for the fact that the Wendigo is an actual Native American folklore being. And Blackwood's interpretation of the Wendigo creature is about as true to the original as any non-native American storyteller can get.
