About the author
Tomie dePaola published almost 200 children's books in fifteen different countries throughout his lifetime, including the enduring classic Strega Nona. He received the Children's Literature Legacy Award for his lifetime contribution to American children's literature in 2011. He remains among the most popular creators of books for children. He passed away in 2020.
