About this audiobook

Kings of Sin meets It Ends With Us in a gritty, heated romance from New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg.

Holden

They thought they’d managed to get rid of me once and for all. They thought I’d just forget what they did to my brother.

But I’m going to make sure that they never forget.

If only I can stop thinking about her.

Rowan

No one sees me. Behind my brother, I’m a ghost, managing the family business that he claims to run. But I’m tired of second fiddle. I’m tired of pretending. I’m going to take what’s mine.

The only problem? Well, he just came back to town.

A Macmillan Audio production from Bramble Books.

listened to the audio version of this book in dual narration by Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connelly. Their narration were great and perfect for this story. The voices were pleasant to listen to and easily discernible. This is the first book in the Tangled Hearts series, and it does not have a conclusion. Guess I'll be looking for the second. It is an office romance with some power issues thrown in. Rowan's family has owned their business for decades and Holden is swooping in to buy a majority part of it. Somebody forgot to tell the two not to miss business and pleasure, but that makes it better for readers. The steam is really hot. There is also a part about Holden's past that really adds to the story. The book is fairly long and then there is no conclusion. The reader is left hanging. If that's not your thing, move on. Thanks to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the audio copy. All thoughts are my own.

book is edgy, gritty, complex, full of intricacies, mysterious, with a slightly morally gray alpha. The plot twist that are thrown at you aren’t expected at all. I was definitely on a roller coaster ride with Holden and Rowan. The banter, verbal sparring, push, pull, tension, angst, sexual chemistry is just oozing off the pages. The book was narrated by Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connelly and all I can say is wow. They brought it. The characterization changes and emotions emanating from them.

About the author

New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary romance novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines and damaged heroes, who we love to hate but can’t help but love.

Since publishing her first book on a whim in 2013, Kristy has sold over two million copies of her books across twenty different countries and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestsellers lists over thirty times. (She still wakes up and asks herself how she got so lucky for all this to happen.)

A mom of three, Kristy finds the only thing harder than finishing the book she’s writing is navigating parenthood during the teenage years (send more wine!). She loves dogs, sports, a good book, and is an expert procrastinator. She lives in Southern California with her family and their three dogs.
