In a dark and captivating atmosphere, a mental analyst and his patient—a calculating and eccentric man—engage in a series of unsettling conversations about power, manipulation, and contempt as a hidden force within human nature. This patient, who calls himself "the madman," has woven a web of deceit within London's elite, infiltrating the circle of powerful investors to carry out a plan that promises to bring him a fortune. Through his machinations, he positions Mr. Kurt Kendall, his "commercial representative," as a respected, almost aristocratic figure, achieved with carefully calculated luxuries, such as bespoke suits, luxury cars, and strategic connections in Parliament.

The madman manipulates the emotions of those around him, establishing the influence necessary to amass a network of partners and allies to his own advantage. Among them is Nicole Cover, the most beautiful and intelligent young woman in all of Britain, who soon becomes Kendall's romantic interest. However, amid this seemingly fortunate relationship, an emotional tension emerges, culminating in an unexpected tragedy: perhaps Nicole's disdain for Kendall's unknown past ultimately drives him to despair and, finally, to his death under mysterious circumstances—or is it merely coincidence?
