Lucy Entwhistle's beloved father has just died; aged twenty-two she finds herself alone in the world. Elizabeth von Arnim (1866–1941), born Mary Annette Beauchamp, was an Australian born British novelist. By marriage she became Gräfin (Countess) von Arnim-Schlagenthin, and by a second marriage, Countess Russell. She wrote more than twenty books, including Elizabeth and Her German Garden and Vera. She also wrote under the pen name Alice Cholmondeley.
Since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, Nicki Paull has worked extensively in film, television, radio and theatre both in Australia and in the UK. Her voice has been heard on numerous documentaries and she has narrated a number of Bolinda audiobooks.
