Apie šią garsinę knygą

One day, the King and Queen of a fairy kingdom receive an unfamiliar gift. That gift is a little daughter who is unlike anyone else in the kingdom. They all love her and celebrate her arrival. But then, a Shadow crosses the land and places a curse upon the little daughter, causing her to be different, delayed, unable to speak or walk. Three magic fairies try to overcome this curse by giving gifts to the girl. But the curse can only be broken when the girl herself discovers her unique powers. An unfamiliar twist on a familiar fairy tale, Laura Loyola wrote this story for her daughter Emma, who has an extremely rare disease. Laura hopes this story expresses the value of every child and conveys to Emma, and children like her, that they are a gift to the world. See www.spumitaem.com

Apie autorių

Laura Loyola is the author of "El Destino de sus ojos" a novel published in Chile in 2010. After arriving in Australia in 2011 to complete a Master's in Architecture, her dreams were put on hold in 2014 when her daughter Emma was born with a rare syndrome that had only been known at the time by 200 in the world. Laura found comfort in writing stories for her daughter to keep hope alive. Having grown up in a family that loves classic fairy tale stories like Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin, Laura needed to write a fairy tale that would now fit the different circumstances of her life, showing her daughter that we don't need to fit into any 'normal' stereotype, that we can push ourselves, and that we should never give up reaching our goals.
