When Robert and Alice meet at an annual virtual reality conference in Durban, South Africa, they became friends, and after a liquid lunch one day the two of them tipsily take part in a virtual marriage demo.
Then they have a falling out. It's only after the conference, when they've gone their separate ways, that they discover they're legally married. There's a failsafe clause though, if the marriage isn't consummated within a year and a day, it will automatically be dissolved.
They're both of a mind to let that happen, but fate doesn't appear to agree with them, as they seem to keep on crossing each other's path. Can a virtual marriage lead to a real life love?
