Wagner James Au is the author of The Making of Second Life, based on his experiences as the first journalist officially embedded in a metaverse platform, and Game Design Secrets. His writing about virtual worlds has been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Wired, and Polygon.

Shawn Compton is a professional voice actor and audiobook narrator. He is also a seventeen-year veteran of the Air Force, and has a strong creative background from which to draw inspiration for his narration.
