Buy Then Build: How Acquisition Entrepreneurs Outsmart the Startup Game

If you're someone that is considering starting a business or buying one, this book delivers a step-by-step account of the process. It goes into the positives of acquiring versus building from scratch and I find that it is balanced and fair in it's assessments. At times it can be perhaps overly optimistic, but I take that with a gain of salt. I listened to the audio book of it and found it to be well narrated and easy to listen to. I recommend it. Bottom line: if you want to be fully prepared and set yourself up for success (read: de-risk) the process of buying a business, this book is a must read.
