Leokadia Schmidt (1914-1984) was a Jewish wife and mother from Warsaw, Poland, where she and her husband ran a manufacturing business during WWII. Their family survived by making narrow escapes from Nazi camps and going into hiding. Leokadia and her family eventually moved to the US, where she lived until her death.
