I thought the series was excellent! It would make an interesting movie. There's plenty of elements that are clearly copycat from other sci-fi writers but because they're subtle we can give the author a mulligan. I enjoyed all four books but I was very, very disappointed that they used the same narrator for the first three and a different narrator for the fourth book. I had become so accustomed to the character voice interpretation in the first three that it was extremely maddening to have new voices in the final book ( the one that was the most expensive). Ruined the experience for me and left me with my only negative feedback.

Though not exactly 'hard' science fiction there is enough science in it to mask the otherwise purely dramatic prose. The story keeps moving from location to location like a good action movie. I listened to the free portion on the 'Play Books' app and enjoyed every minute of it. Only my current poverty prevents me from paying for the rest of the book and learning how the story comes out or where it leaves off. GREAT JOB, Author. Keep up the good work.

Good, safe read for teens. There are parts that could've been written better or maybe researched a bit better, so they made more sense. But all in all, a good read. I bought the sequels, so that should tell you it's worth it.
