Gerhart Hauptmann (1862-1946), eigentlich Gerhart Johann Robert Hauptmann, war ein deutscher Dramatiker und Schriftsteller. Er ist Vertreter des Naturalismus. 1912 erhielt er den Nobelpreis für Literatur. Seine Werke "Der Biberpelz", "Siri", "Rose Bernd" und "Vor Sonnenaufgang" sind ebenfalls in der SWRedition erschienen.
