About this audiobook

Required Reading for every Feminist
“I'm sure I never used to be so sensitive. I think it is due to this nervous condition.” ― Charlotte Perkins Gilman, The Yellow Wallpaper
The Yellow Wallpaper is a psychological short story about a Victorian woman on the edge of a nervous breakdown. When her husband deems she needs a "rest cure" after the birth of their child, they rent an abandoned colonial mansion with a "queer air" about it. The narrator's room has horrible yellow wallpaper which incites her decent into madness. This short story is an early American feminist work and explores the role of women in a patriarchal society.
