About this audiobook

In the aftermath of a seafaring tragedy, a resilient American woman and a scarred English captain form an unexpected alliance, battling their pasts and their hearts as they navigate the uncharted waters of love and healing in Regency-era England.

Longing to mend her shattered life in America after a haunting ordeal aboard the Black Dawn that claimed her father's life, Miss Prudence Drake is determined to avoid another encounter with pirates, even if the captivating and principled Captain Jasper Blackmore stirs unfamiliar emotions within her.

Haunted by his own scars, both physical and emotional, and scarred by lost love in the aftermath of war, Captain Jasper Blackmore seeks new horizons far from England's shores. However, his plans take an unexpected turn when he becomes the rescuer of a spirited American woman. Bound by duty to ensure her safety, Jasper finds himself guarding against the vulnerability Prudence awakens in him.

As their hearts clash with the plans they've meticulously laid, Prudence and Jasper confront a choice: to embrace an uncertain future together or to relinquish the tender bond forming between them. Amidst the tides of passion and duty, will they surrender to a love that defies the odds?

This is the second book in the Fabled Love Series. I loved it. This is a sweet, and slow burn regency romance. Prudence and Jasper's story is entertaining, and engaging. They are both interesting characters. The world building is intriguing, and captivating. James Young did a great job bringing these characters, and this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to more in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second story in the "Fabled Love" series. It is a short and quick read or listen and stands alone. The story is fun with a little angst and drama. The story is about Prudence, an American heiress to a shipping company, and Jasper, a pirate. I thought the narrator did a good job with the characters and the story.

This is a short read or listen. We have Prudence and Jasper in this story. What happens when pirates board the ship that she is on and her father is killed? Now that she is captured what happens if another pirate ship catures that one. Fallow the drama and see if love can surfice.
