About the author

Emma Carroll has worked as an English teacher, a news reporter, an avocado picker and the person who punches holes into filofax paper. She now writes full-time which is a lifelong dream come true. Emma’s books are usually historical, often mysterious and full of strong female characters. They include Frost Hollow Hall, The Girl Who Walked On Air, In Darkling Wood, Strange Star, and her most recent novel Letters from the Lighthouse. Sky Chasers is her first novel for Chicken House.

Katherine Press is an English actor and producer, best known for playing Hannah in Stephen Poliakoff’s 2013 BBC series Dancing on the Edge. Katherine trained as a dancer at Central School of Ballet, before attending the University of Cambridge. She has appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger, Closed Circuit and A Bad Penny and done voice work for BBC Radio 4, BBC Classic Stories and narrated the Costa Children's Book Award-winning The Skylarks' War by Hilary McKay.
