About this audiobook

In this series debut from New York Times bestselling author Kelley Armstrong, a modern-day homicide detective finds herself in Victorian Scotland—in an unfamiliar body—with a killer on the loose.

"A great read." —Charlaine Harris

May 20, 2019: Homicide detective Mallory is in Edinburgh to be with her dying grandmother. While out on a jog one evening, Mallory hears a woman in distress. She’s drawn to an alley, where she is attacked and loses consciousness.

May 20, 1869: Housemaid Catriona Thomson had been enjoying a half-day off, only to be discovered that night in a lane, where she’d been strangled and left for dead . . . exactly one-hundred-and-fifty years before Mallory was strangled in the same spot.

When Mallory wakes up in Catriona's body in 1869, she must put aside her shock and adjust quickly to the reality: life as a housemaid to an undertaker in Victorian Scotland. She soon discovers that her boss, Dr. Gray, also moonlights as a medical examiner and has just taken on an intriguing case, the strangulation of a young man, similar to the attack on herself. Her only hope is that catching the murderer can lead her back to her modern life . . . before it's too late.

In A Rip Through Time, New York Times bestselling author Kelley Armstrong introduces a brand-new series mixing mystery, romance, and fantasy with thrilling results.

A Macmillan Audio production from Minotaur Books.

Wow!!! This is a total departure from what I’m used to getting from this author. Totally different and amazing. Of course it was a fantastic mystery with a crazy twist. Mallory Atkinson is attacked and wakes up in someone else’s body in the past. She brings 21 century police skills to the 19th century. He’s stealing from the future. Stealing the thunder of the most famous serial killer of all time. “To many people in our time, the first serial killer doesn’t strike for another twenty years.

A fantastic time travel adventure that pulled me in from the start and kept me reading through the night. I love Kelley Armstrong's work, so my expectations were high and she did not disappoint! A 21st century detective from Canada is attacked one night in Edinburgh (Scotland), to find herself waking in the body of a 19th century housemaid. She relies on her wit and skill to carve a place for herself while she finds a way back home. The scene was perfectly set as we traveled with Detective Atkinson back to another time and place, and I would definitely recommend!
