Insightful preamble that is well laid out illustrating what is and isn't honorable or factual about samurai culture. The actual historical text has some wisdom but is outdated in many ways whereby honorable actions should be considered cultural and not necessarily honorable. Amazing glimpse into a disciplined culture and time in Japanese history.

Yamamoto Tsunetomo (1659-1719) was a samurai of the Saga Domain in Hizen Province.
