No science fiction collection is complete without On a Pale Horse. In this, the first novel of the best-selling Incarnations of Immortality series, Piers Anthony combines a deeply moving examination of the meaning of life and death with a gripping story of romance and loyalty all set in a world of magic and technical wizardry.

Excellent Book, Overpriced Recording. The author and his work are phenomenal. Everyone should have the opportunity to read this book. The reader speaks clearly for the most part. He is one of the better readers that I've heard. There are some background noises on a few of the tracks that bug me though, however subtle. The price does not seem appropriate to me though; the price suggests the reader is getting twice as much as the author just for reading aloud.

my mom had suggested reading this when I was 10 cuz I was always bugging her about the books she was reading. I picked it up n got lost in a fantastical realm of magic n chaos. I have been a Piers Anthony fan since.

This series is one of the best out there for combining science fiction and fantasy together. I'm not much of a religious person, but his drastically unique depictions of many grand figures is creative and amazing, to say the least. On A Pale Horse is a great first read into the series.
