저자 최강신 저자 최강신은 이화여자대학교 스크랜튼학부 교수. 서울대학교에서 이론 물리학을 공부하고 박사학위를 받았으며, 독일 본(Bonn) 대학교, 교토대학교, 한국 고등과학원에서 연구하였다. 힘과 물질의 기본 단위를 미세한 끈으로 보는 끈이론에서 입자 물리학의 표준모형을 이끌어내는 연구를 하고 있으며, 일반 상대성이론을 초대칭으로 확장한 초중력의 형태에 대한 연구도 하고 있다. 학생들과 과학과 사회에 대하여 토론과 글쓰기를 같이 하며 서로 배움을 주고받고 있다.
