Daisy grew up in Honduras and came to the USA at the age of 13 to attend boarding school. Thirteen years later she became a naturalized American citizen. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at the University of Texas in Arlington. During her 43 year nursing career, she worked as a hospital staff RN, Charge RN, ICU nurse manager, Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing. She was certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Currently she lives with her husband of 40 years and two adorable doggies in the Austin, Texas area. They have a daughter, son-in-law and two precious grandchildren. She and her husband are members of Celebration Church in Georgetown, Texas. They serve as volunteers, reaching out to the community with the love of God.
After spending almost half her life without the Lord, in 1986 she heard the knock on the door of her heart and let Jesus in as her Lord and Savior. Once she tasted the goodness of God and His unconditional love, there was no turning back. She has been studying the Bible for 37 years. She has been involved in ladies’ Bible Studies through the years. She conducted Bible Studies at a home for troubled teens for four years. Equipped with the transforming love, joy and grace of God, she ministered to her critically ill patients and their families, as they navigated many trying times.
Since retirement from nursing in 2014, her heart for the lost and the realization that the world desperately needs God, has led her to create more than 20 evangelistic videos through a YouTube channel, under the assumed name of Jenevieve Rushing. Daisy enjoys a following on Facebook where she posts daily encouraging Scriptures. Her passion for the Word of God and her heart’s desire to expose it to a world that does not read the Bible, led her to write this book, 144 Promises From God To You.
