A relatively low angst second chance romance mixed with Southern charm and a bit of steamy goodness. Clyde is the typical stubborn alpha male and even when I wanted to shake him, I couldn't help but like him. I did get a bit frustrated with Shyla's manipulations to get back in Clyde's good graces. With opening after opening, I kept wondering why she wouldn't just tell him rather than play more games. We do have a small bit of drama in the last quarter of the story that left me somewhat confused about what it actually added to the story, but all in all, it's an easy read of second chances and never forgetting your first love.
