These carefully selected works can be fiction, non-fiction, historical documents or even biographies. We will always select for you three great works to instigate your mind, this time the topic is:Lost Worlds Real historical events combined with the human imagination can gain a life of their own. The conquest of the Americas gave rise to myths of fantastic realms like El Dorado. In the Victorian Era, the discoveries of the Egyptian tombs, the ruins of Troy and Assyria made man wonder... What else could be hidden? It is from this questioning that comes the genre Lost World Fiction. Our first lost world is the work of the author of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Professor Challenger takes us to the Amazon Rainforest where dinosaurs hide among isolated tribes and a terrible ape-like tribe. H. P. Lovecraft takes us on a disastrous expedition to Antarctica. There exploring scientists have an encounter with the monstrous and the bizarre. In this novel, Lovecraft inaugurates the concept of "Ancient Aliens", an idea that is trending until our days in the History Channel. Royalty of the pulp magazines era, Edgar Rice Burrouhgs takes us across the seas. Influenced by Jules Verne and Conan Doyle, this lost world has creatures, dinosaurs and a set of natural laws that defies travelers' understanding. This is one of many books in the series 3 Books To Know. If you liked this book, look for the other titles in the series, we are sure you will like some of the topics.
