User Anton Pavlovitch Tchecov, nasceu em Taganrog, em 29 de janeiro de 1860 e faleceu em Badenweiler, em 15 de julho de 1904, foi um médico, dramaturgo e escritor russo, considerado um dos maiores contistas de todos os tempos. Em sua carreira como dramaturgo criou quatro peças clássicas e centenas de contos aclamados por escritores e críticos.
