About this eBook

HBO’s hit series A GAME OF THRONES is based on George R. R. Martin’s internationally bestselling series A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE, the greatest fantasy epic of the modern age. A CLASH OF KINGS is the second volume in the series.

Throughout Westeros, the cold winds are rising.

From the ancient citadel of Dragonstone to the forbidding lands of Winterfell, chaos reigns as pretenders to the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms stake their claims through tempest, turmoil and war.

As a prophecy of doom cuts across the sky – a comet the colour of blood and flame – five factions struggle for control of a divided land. Brother plots against brother and the dead rise to walk in the night.

Against a backdrop of incest, fratricide, alchemy and murder, the price of glory is measured in blood.

I like this book. This book is lengthy, Yes,But, by its plot it seems author should write in a more detailed manner, like he doesn't describe properly about the religions, like the faith of seven, drowned gods, lord of light, etc. But, I literally like the writting style(short words with full action) I literally loved the DAVOS chapters, Man, the heavy dialogues of stannis, I love their conversation. DAVOS the most balanced character in whole series.

The continuation of everyone's stories in the wake of the events of the last book and the rise of the War of the Five Kings are great. The emergence of Theon Greyjoy and the events in his story is excellent. But the introduction of Stannis, what his new religion represents and how it contrasts with everyone else's world view is fascinating. The looming dread of his invasion really ramps up the tension in the last third of the book. Excellent read. Better than the first.

It's to picture all of this coming out of one head, the intricacies of each storyline so smoothly woven, but from one head it all did come, better yet described as one magical mind. The story picks up right where the last left off, and leaves nothing out. If you watched the TV show, you'll note a few changes here and there, but not enough to stop your enjoyment of the GoT experience.
