About this eBook

On the run from her past, photographer Ali Thibeaux arrives undercover in Marietta to find her biological half-sister. Plan A: Meet Olivia, photograph her wedding, and disappear before endangering anyone. Plan B: All hell breaks loose.
Reclusive rancher Adam Wolfe’s only plan when he hires Ali to manage his dysfunctional household is to go on hiding from the world. But his scars don’t seem to matter to the beauty who unexpectedly turns his house into a home and heals the rift between him and the teenaged niece he’s taken in. Still, he suspects there’s more to Ali than meets the eye and he’s determined to uncover what she’s hiding from him before it’s too late.

I truly enjoyed A Cowboy to Keep by Barbara Ankrum, the fourth book in her Canadays of Montana series. Drifter Ali Thibeaux arrives in Marietta to find her biological half-sister and photograph Olivia’s wedding. All before Ali can be found by her stalker and endanger those around her. There is much more to Adam Wolfe than being a rancher with burn scars. He hires Ali to manager his household, cook and help with his fourteen year old niece, Carrie. Ali is not deterred by Adam’s scars and lets him know. Also, she is able to relate and understand Carrie as she too lost her mother at a similar age. Adam believes that Ali is not telling the entire truth about her situation and tries to learn the truth before it’s too late. There is definitely chemistry and attraction between these two who are unsure about acting on it. Ali trusts no one and is torn about trusting Adam. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. Ms. Ankrum is a wonderful storyteller and she drew me into this story, not letting me go until I read the last page. I definitely recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Two broken people and secrets make up this suspenseful romance. When Ali visits Adam Wolfe's ranch to try and retrieve her camera, it's a case mistaken identity, but when Adam offers her the job of housekeeper in exchange for her camera, Ali has to make a choice. A gentle love story evolves as Ali who is running from her past finds a home with Adam and Carrie, the rebellious teenager for whom Adam has guardianship. Ali knows that her time in the small town of Marietta is limited, because the longer she stays the more likely it will be that her stalker will catch up with her, putting the people she has come to love in danger. I loved the characters in this book, with Adam the wounded hero and Carrie with her blue hair desperately trying to prevent close attachments. Ali has so much character and so much love to give, but the pain she carries makes it impossible for her to give her heart. This book is well written with believable characters and although it is part of a series, it is a standalone novel. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

When Ali Thibeaux realizes her late mothers camera that she pawned was sold she thinks all hope is lost until help comes from an unlikely source. Adam Wolfe is only looking for someone to help him with cooking and cleaning after he took his niece in to raise. When he mistakes Ali as a candidate he offers her the job not expecting any complications. When an attraction begins between the two can the keep everything professional or will the attraction win out? I liked this book all the way till the last chapter where i felt it ended abruptly. I enjoyed the main characters and how well they were written.
