It’s 1918 and the prospect of peace in Europe is tantalizingly close. However, for Dorothy and the detectives she works with, there is no time to rejoice. The body of a young woman has been discovered in Kensington Gardens, and Scotland Yard fear that after thirty years, Jack the Ripper may have returned to terrorize the streets of London. For Inspector Derwent, this case is personal, distracting him and potentially endangering the investigation. Dorothy tries her best to help and keep him focused, yet she is still reeling from the grief of losing a close friend.
