don't let the cover fool you. sometimes when I'm on the border if I'm going to read a book or not I'll look at the cover and let that decide for me. thank goodness I gave this one a shot it was an excellent read.

 Jean Manton grew up in Yorkshire in Bronte country. She has lived in Canada, Australia and worked in many jobs such as dairy maid, bank clerk, school teacher, librarian, public servant, and finally as a partner in a small farm in the Snowy Mountains of NSW, Australia. She currently lives in Wollongong.
