My Poetry is at times raw, sensuous, evocative, and guarantees a stirring of all senses. Some poems will melt your heart, or arouse you, others will leave you with a myriad of acute emotion. Others will make you smile, even bring tears to your eyes. Some I hope will provide comfort in knowing you are not alone, even when life is not always kind. I see us all as clay on a potter's wheel, life’s trials represent the reshaping of who we are, and that reshaping is never ending. My poetry reflects that truth, and expression of my experiences.. Patricia Stanway was born in Derbyshire, England. At the age of twenty five she emigrated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and presently lives in Bromont, Quebec. She is divorced and has a daughter and two grandchildren. She recently decided to retire from teaching and give full attention to her passion for writing.
