A Love So Deep

4 1/2 STARS!! Wow! A Love So Deep was an excellent and perfect conclusion to Lili's Valente's To The Bone series. It was replete with suspense and “oh my God” moments to the point where I just wasn’t sure who I could trust. After once again being left hanging at the end of book two, I couldn’t fathom how Ms. Valente was going to “make it all better” for me. But as she always does, she completely brought this story full circle putting my mind at ease after, of course, torturing me some more with nail-biting moments. But ultimately, in her much anticipated fashion, Ms. Valente completely satisfied my need for the happily ever after I am always wanting. Again I say “WOW.” This was perfect! Caitlin’s life has once again come crashing down around her. After learning of Gabe’s death she is absolutely devastated. Struggling to rebuild her life without him, she makes the decision to take her brothers and niece and move out of Giffney, the home she has always known but which has seemingly never done her any favors from having to leave high school to raise her brothers and niece to now having lost Gabe, the only man she will ever truly and deeply love. As Caitlin continues to reconstruct her life and move forward, things once again begin to spiral out of control. Will she ever be able to recapture the deep love she had finally found which was unexpectedly torn from her grasp so long ago? I have read each and every novel written by Lili Valente, and she has once again accomplished a fantastically suspenseful, enthralling and exceptionally-written story. I was amazingly surprised with the turns this story took and many times on the edge of my seat struggling profusely with myself to just keep reading and not turn to the final chapter just to put my mind at ease and know that everything was going to be alright in the end. Applause Ms. Valente! Very well done!

A Love so Deep: A Dark Romance by Lili Valente is the third and final book in her To The Bone series. It picks up right where we left off in A Love so Deadly: A Dark Romance. What happens when the person you think is lost to you forever is back? What do you do when you realize this person is not quite who you lost? What do you do when you discover that a person you've trusted for years has kept from you the most important truth? Floored. I was heartbroken at pretty much every part of book two, this one slowly started piecing me back together. Some readers and authors just mesh. Some don't. It's always so personal and individual. Lili/Jessie is an author that just meshes for me. Every word I've read of hers to date (which is at least 75% of her published work) has been a joy to read. From Lonesome Point to Giffney with some oddball locations in between, I am in absolute fangirl love with her books, characters and stories. Gabe and Caitlin are quite possibly my favorite characters to date. It is hot and steamy without being overly done. The emotions run high, the writing carries you away, and you won't be able to get enough of Gabe and Caitlin either. Told in dual POV with a cliffhanger ending this will definitely suck you in.

Oh, my gosh! I knew that this book was going to blow me away. I mean, how could it not? I was sitting on the edge of my seat, e-reader in hand, just waiting. Because I know Lili Valente, and she loves those moments. You know, those moments where you're reading along, taking everything in, and then, BAM! Yep, like a bolt from the blue, Lili's got you saying, 'What the..??!!' This book is full of those moments, believe you me, and I LOVED it. Although Caitlin has moved forward, the loss of Gabe and the love that they shared is always in her heart and mind. When Caitlin learns that the people that she trusted the most conspired to deceive her, she will do everything that she can to rise and be the strong woman that she has become. Lili has done a fabulous job with this series, and this book, so beautifully written, and filled with angst, heartbreak, redemption, and love, is my absolute favorite. It is the perfect wrap-up to Caitlin's and Gabe's story, and 5+ stars just doesn't seem like enough. If I had to recommend just one of Lili's series, it would be the To The Bone trilogy. Seriously, add these books to your TBR, because you will love them, and they will stay with you for a very long time.
