Ian Christie has written and broadcast widely on Powell and Pressburger. His books include Arrows of Desire: the Films of Powell and Pressburger (1985/94) and a critical edition of the screenplay of The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1994). He is Professor of Film and Media History at Birkbeck, University of London.
