A Treasured Lily is the second book in A Marsden Romance series and is an enjoyable historical romance. This story is about Lilliana Marsden, daughter of Pia and Thor (A Flawed Jewel) and her journey to Charleston to run a plantation. She is headstrong and spoiled. Rand is the captain of the ship who agrees to transport Lily to her new life. This is a well-written short story with drama, twists, and a sweet romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Spoiled and always getting her way, Lilliana Marsden decides she wants to live in Charleston on a plantation. When her parents don’t take her seriously – or at least do nothing to help her achieve this – she decides to make it happen on her own. She finds an American, Randall Collins, who owns a shipping fleet, and convinces him to take her on his next voyage to America. He agrees if she will pay him with a kiss. The attraction deepens as they are travelling. Will Lilliana get the family plantation she has her mind set on without having to marry for her inheritance? Or will something – someone – else become more important to her along the way? Once again, this author has amazing stories to tell us. I love the humor and the strong female characters. Luckily for Rand, he seems like the type who may be able to make Lily happy without squashing her delightful spirit. Will he convince her that she should be his wife? Grab your copy and see what their futures hold for them!

Determined, Lilliana Marsden was to go to America and live in Charleston on a plantation she will inherited in a few short months. But her parents want her to marry and make her believe she has to before she can go. She overhears a conversation and realizes that is not true so she concocts a plan to sneak away. She has everything planned except for finding a ship and captain who will take her. Fate comes in the form of one Randall Collins, an American who is sailing is ship back to his home soon. It seems Lilliana is able to wind Rand around her finger and he ends up agreeing to take her. What happens next is a journey that will keep you entertained as these two tangle and find a strong attraction. But will Lilliana insist on not marrying or can Rand change her mind? Great story!
