About the author
O Dr. Abraham Kuyper (1837–1920) foi um notável pastor, educador, autor, editor e estadista. Incansável em seu esforço para aplicar o cristianismo a cada área da vida, poucas pessoas de seu tempo conseguiram realizar mais do que ele em tantas frentes de ação. Fundou a Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam em 1880 e serviu como Primeiro-Ministro da Holanda de 1901 a 1905.
