About this eBook

The most anticipated story in the blockbuster Dark-Hunter series. The never-before-revealed story of the Dark-Hunter leader, Acheron. He was made human in order to escape death, but in death he was reborn a god. . .

Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. However, his human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Then, brought back against his will, Acheron became the sole defender of mankind.

Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he'll do anything to keep concealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence.

Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both.
War has never been more deadly... or more fun.

The Author and/or Agent involvement with fans is a bit disheartening. When I purchased this book it costed close to $50. The significant price drop is incredible, but very unfair. The book was PERFECTLY scribed, and beautifully structured. There is no way it depreciated that significantly in only a couple of years(?) I certainly recommend this to any book worm who is a mythology buff, or might enjoy fantasy fiction in general. With a very slight similarity to Hercules, this book will immerse you in the previously unknown pantheon of the Lost City of Atlantis, giving such an imaginatively creative fictional history of why it even was - lost I mean. I have fallen in love with Madam Kenyon's writing style, ability, and keen sense of 'goldilocks' of details. Not too many and not too little, but rather jusssst righhht. This book reminded me a LOT of another series I have been searching for since the very beginning of the 2000's. $4 is a STEAL. Derogatory stars for price drop.

This book is highly sexually explicit in places. Falls under paranormal romance I guess? The first half of the book is about Acheron's past; full of sexual depravity, torture, pain and, rejection. I got sucked in. By the end of the 1st half, I was so over Ryssa trying to help but being selfishly naive about the consequences. And why the random Hersey bar? The second half... Is this the same author? It felt so different than the first half. The romance was cheesy. Tory seemed like Ryssa with a weird daredevil streak that contrasts her academic, naive, background to be the *perfect* girlfriend material. Simi cracked me up. Ash seems super nondeveloped after 11 thousand years People and things get thrown in solely as plot devices .. I think I preferred the 1st half with all the messed-upness to the second half sloppy writing. It's cute. But not super reading.

Have to agree with Cori - this is a 5 star book but the torture of chapter one is just too much and too graphic. Overkill. But other than that - I could not put the book down. Rivoting and kept you entertained. Look forward to reading her other stories.
