Violent, bittersweet journey into the lives of soldiers, and mercenaries in a world that feels familiar yet unique. While not always the smoothest read especially really on as you get used to the voices of the characters, it's none the less a fast paced revenge epic with great battles and less machismo then the usual. Snakewood reads like a Western fought with bows and arrows in a world of empires and jungles and plains. Where magic is absent but the plant can make you more than you are, and less.

Well written, unusual plotting and structure but excellent read
