Crossing Lines: A Spellbinding CIA Romantic Suspense Thriller

Liz is the sole survivor of an assignment to take down the President of Venezuela. He's a corrupt dictator, working with the local cartels and reaping the rewards of other people's suffering. Shane, Dusty, and Trevor (their new "civilian names") are a tight crew, even when they are forced never to meet in public. They aren't all exactly happy when Shane agrees to help Liz become "Faith" but one for all and all for one with this team. But the bad guys seem to have amazing intelligence and are always one step behind. The action whizzes between Chicago, Venezuela and points in between. Liz is no damsel in distress, she'd take down El Presidente in a heartbeat but she's not mended yet and she knows that she can't be a one-woman army. Shane is our grudging hero - he's settled in his new life even though he misses his family but he still can't resist the urge of a good fight. The romance between Shane and Faith/Liz is suited to the story and these two are used to making snap, instinctual decisions. There are plenty of twists and turns and the action is well paced. Great story and would love to read more!

This latest book by Ms. Giordano, is the start of a new suspense romance series, properly titled , Deep Cover. Elizabeth Aiken is a woman who never expected to find her life turned upside down . A CIA operative whose last operation in Venezuela goes totally wrong, she is now fighting to stay alive. With assassins looking for her , she turns to former Marine and CIA operative , Shane/Viper Quinn. A man that has no desire to get involved with either Elizabeth or her problems. Even though the attraction is obviously there. But what is a man to do when his heart and his mind collide? Be ready for a rollercoaster ride, in which at times you will be holding your breath . Will Shane/Viper and Elizabeth survive the dangerous men? If they do, will they finally get their HEA or will each go their separate ways? From the start the plot was engaging and the characters complex. In this case , I appreciate the fact that the female character is strong and one that takes charge.
