About this ebook

An epic space adventure, Aer-ki Jyr’s Apex is a breathless race to the ultimate prize, with the very fate of the stars hanging in the balance.

A new dawn is coming . . .

It’s been eons since Humans controlled the universe. Defeated by a mysterious enemy, the downfall of Humanity brought about a virtual dark age. Culture and technology stagnated in their absence. But now, trade is once again flourishing as Human artifacts resurface throughout the galaxy, resurrecting long forgotten advancements.

And one such discovery might very well alter the course of the future forever.

From the author of the epic Star Force Origin series, Aer-ki Jyr’s impressive galactic world-building is on full display in this stand-alone space opera adventure reminiscent of Ryk Brown, Christopher Nuttall, B.V. Larson, and Evan Currie.

I like this book, short and somewhat effective in its story telling. I like the initial setup, however once the twist is revealed the focus shifts and I feel it's a detriment to the story overall. Spoiler free: it's an ok space story with some things that want to make me burn my phone, but worth the price. Spoilers: The original main character Jalia is interesting to me, the authors world building is superb in that regard. However things like characters that have been established sort of just die without a second thought. The original mystery character exists to deliver pointless exposition then die so the new mystery character to come in, Raix. Raix is the only loving human of the long extinct race. That's it. That's the twist. Once hes introduced he dismantles any threat without opposition. Once Raix gets introduced, Jalia becomes little more than a side character in her own story and ship. Which is frustrating. More problems to little words.

This author has great writing style that is easy to read naturally and flows well. The sign of a great story teller. I love the premise of the distant future and the role of humanity in the galactic community. I'm engaged in the plot. I'll be watching and reading ANY books in the first by this great author!

It was pretty slow the whole time. But I'm involved now, so I have to read the next one. It's nice to see humans as the cool aliens for once.
