Myrobalan of the Magi

Alan Jacobs is a retired businessman and was one of Britain’s foremost art dealers, specialising in Dutch and Flemish Old Masters. He has been interested in mysticism and comparative religion since an early age. He has made an extensive study of the teachings of G.I.Gurdjieff, J.Krishnamurti and Douglas Harding, and is at present Chairman of the Ramana Maharshi Foundation UK. He is a poet, and is published regularly in the magazines Reflections (for whom he has made an anthology) and Self Enquiry. He compiled and edited The Element Book of Mystical Verse which was published by Element Books in 1997. He has also published the authoritative Seventeenth Century Dutch and Flemish Painters -- A Collector’s Guide (MacGraw Hill, 1976 He has lived in London almost the whole of his life.
