Flame is second part of the Web of Desire series it's Patrick Kelly and Madeline Trent Kelly's explosive story. They had chemistry when they were living on the streets eighteen years ago and that attraction is as strong as ever. Do you remember playing with string as one of your first games growing up, where each pluck gives you a different outcome, that is what this part of the story reminds me of, one long attached string that can be shaped into an oval, square, triangle, and a circle. Life comes full circle but with one heck of a cliffhanger! OMG, I need Ashes, need answers stat!

After the ending of SPARK (Book 1) left us all standing there with our chins on the floor, I couldn't wait to get my hands on FLAME, the second book in the Web of Desire series by author Aleatha Romig. Where in the world was Aleatha going to go with Patrick's and Madeleine's story, and would it be as action-packed and twisty and turny as in SPARK? Well, of course, the answer to my questions is, yes, absolutely, and along the same twisty turny path that had me flipping pages in the first part of the story. FLAME gives readers more of the back story between Patrick and Madeleine, especially the things that Maddie has gone through and done to save herself and all that is important to her. The lengths that she's gone to are intense, and are a testament to the love and strength that drive her. Patrick is alpha with a capital 'A,' and even more so once he finds out more about the secrets that Maddie is harboring. He and the Sparrows are definitely the ones that I'd want in my corner if the going got hinky, and with his not-so-vested interest in Maddie, he's the perfect man for this job. FLAME is the perfect follow-up to SPARK, and leaves plenty of room for action and answers both in ASH, the upcoming last book in this series. 4 easy stars for Patrick, Maddie, and their far-from-over story. If you haven't been Aleatha'd, now's the time. ❤️

Book two of Patrick and Madeline's story hits the ground running and keeps you on edge with every turn of the page. Be prepared to be taken on an intense and gripping ride that is filled with plenty of drama, intrigue and one heck of an emotional punch. As each secret is exposed or when another twists blindsides you, your heart will seriously hurt for these two. Fair warning there is another stunning cliffhanger ahead and a wait for book 3.

Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis. Aleatha has raised three children with her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly thirty years. Before she became a full-time author, she worked days as a dental hygienist and spent her nights writing. Now, when she's not imagining mind-blowing twists and turns, she likes to spend her time a with her family and friends.
