As Magnus’ story resumes (after those traumatic events in Sabotage) she’s desperate for any ideas to help Nico regain his memories – even if they come from Bragi. But can Magnus truly set aside her anger and entertain his offer of help? Perhaps, if it means gaining the upper hand against Vidar. The story is well written with compelling characters – including some powerful gods, Valkyries and dragon shifters from the author’s NEON and Legacy series. I can't wait for Decimation, the final book.

Poof! My brain just exploded. Again, I thought this book was leading me in a particular direction, but a sudden sharp turn before the end left me reeling and questioning everything I thought I understood. I loved that we got to dig into those surprise revelations of the previous book’s ending, but this one threw a new curveball that’s left me gaping like a landed fish. We see what Magnus’ life is becoming and learn more about the strain in her connections with Bragi and Nicodemus.
