The story line of this short story is very good...but the story comes across somewhat bland. Maybe if this novella was longer or maybe even written as a full length novel it would have been Very Good! I have read some other stories by this author that I really enjoyed...but this one left me feeling...1) surprised that the story was over and 2) feeling like I had missed reading some pages and 3) feeling like I wanted more to the story. All in all, I will continue to read books from this author.
About the author
RJ Crayton is the author of the Life First series of novels, which are set in a dystopian future. She also has published a short story collection, Four Mothers. Almost Perfect is one of the stories included in that collection.
