SHE HAD THE PERFECT MARRIAGE. UNTIL HER MOTHER-IN-LAW MOVED IN...

Saffron vowed to love Miles no matter what life threw at them both. But when her mother-in-law moves into their happy family home, Saffron’s shiny life begins to tarnish.

Even as Caprice’s barbed comments turn to something more sinister, Saffron hopes the new nanny’s arrival will shield her from the worst of it. She’s starting to feel paranoid in her own home.

Little does she realise that Caprice longs for a new daughter-in-law – and she’ll do anything to make that happen...

The one thing you can always count on from a book from Robson, is a very entertaining read with twists galore and you get that in spades with The Unwelcome Guest! Hooked from the outset, the pages just turned themselve and it’s quick pace made for a one sitting read. Super fun all round!

This book was a fantastic psychological thriller! The main character is Saffron who lives with her husband, two sons, a young beautiful nanny and a mother in law from hell. I love books with a mother in law or nanny trying to break up a marriage and this has both! This was the first Amanda Robson book I read and I've since read 3 more. This one is still my fave. Followed by Envy. 3rd place is Obsession and then My Darling. There is 5th book called Guilt which I'll try next. She has a distinctive style of writing which I enjoy. Her books aren't literary masterpieces but they're very entertaining.

A good book, it draws you in slowly but gets better and better. A family drama. A very good ending.
