About this eBook

Over 1,400 Pages of Sci-Fi Adventure! **AMARANTHE I: RISE includes the 1st trilogy in the Amaranthe universe (Starshine, Vertigo, Transcendence) + 2 short stories + bonus content**

Space is vast and untamed, and it holds many secrets.

The year is 2322. Humanity has expanded into the stars, inhabiting over 100 worlds across a third of the galaxy. Earth struggles to retain authority over far-flung planets and free-wheeling corporations, while an uneasy armistice with a breakaway federation hangs by a thread as the former rebels rise in wealth and power. And in the shadows, powerful forces conspire to bring the fragile peace crashing down.

Alex Solovy is a space scout for hire. When she takes a routine job to chase down an errant signal in the Metis Nebula, nothing suggests the secret it conceals will turn her life—not to mention the entire galaxy—upside down. But a chance discovery reveals a terrifying truth: we are not alone. And we are not ready.

Now Alex, acerbic loner and recalcitrant wanderer, must navigate a galactic power struggle, a political conspiracy and the worst impulses of human nature to expose a threat on two fronts and avert all-out war. The fate of civilization hangs in the balance.

When faced with our greatest challenge, will we rise to triumph or fall to ruin?

Amaranthe I: Rise is a riveting tale of resilience, sacrifice, and the unyielding human spirit. G. S. Jennsen weaves a masterful narrative that will keep readers on the edge of their seats, immersing them in a richly imagined world of interstellar intrigue and extraordinary technology as she whisks them along on an exhilarating journey, where the choices of one individual may determine humanity’s destiny.

Fans of The Expanse, Adrian Tchaikovsky and Peter F. Hamilton will love this epic science fiction tale of adventure, political conspiracy, alien invasion, interstellar war, space exploration and intrigue, all anchored by an incredible cast of memorable and compelling characters who fight, fail, persevere and refuse to fade away.

** AMARANTHE I: RISE WAS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED UNDER THE TITLE "AURORA RISING: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION" **

If you have not read this book yet, you have no idea what you are missing. I was glued to it from the beginning to the end, and felt like I had been there! I felt like I knew all the people in the story, they were all amazing and seemed so real. I have been reading S F for about 60 years and I count this one in the top 🔟!!! I hope you can read this book. I loved every page and will read it again soon! Thanks for making me happy! I'll be reading everything that has Author. -Jennsen! Timothy W Lawrence

I was looking for some sci-fi that I hadn't read yet and found "Starshine", the first book in the "Aurora Rising" while browsing new (to me) authors, and I'm glad I did! Interesting tech ideas, exploration, and social ideas. Worth reading!

This review will encompass the first nine books of the Amaranthe Universe (aka Amaranthe Rhapsody) and will be posted in the three collections. I am a 72-year-old male and have been reading science fiction since I was 12 years old. I have over 700 science fiction books catalogued in LibraryThing. In all those years I have only 3 characters that have stuck fast in my mind all these years - Hari Seldon from Assimov's Foundation Series, Jimmy DiGriz from Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat novels and Paul Atreides from Frank Herbert's Dune series. But I am absolutely positive that Alex Solovy (along with mother Miriam) and Caleb Marano are now part of that exclusive list! Where to begin... Encompassing 2972 pages in the first three collections I cannot recall a more involving or enjoyable read! The character development is absolutely incredible. You'll be cheering for Alex and Caleb throughout the entire saga. But I think the most amazing thing is the fact that Ms. Jennsen has invoked not only laughter but tears more than once. And I know I have never read any other science fiction book or series that has accomplished that. So I sincerely recommend that you dive into it and hope that GS never stops writing because she is just fantastic!!! There are many more books in the series and I can't wait to see where they take me next...

About the author

G. S. JENNSEN lives somewhere in the U.S., in a locale that may or may not be where she lived the last time she published a book (she’s a gypsy at heart), with her husband and one or more dogs. She has become an internationally bestselling author since her first novel, Starshine, was published in 2014. She has chosen to continue writing under an independent publishing model to ensure the integrity of her stories and her ability to execute on the vision she has for their telling.

While she has been a lawyer, a software engineer and an editor, she’s found the life of a full-time author preferable by several orders of magnitude. When she isn’t writing, she’s gaming or working out or getting lost in the mountains that loom large outside the windows in her home. Or she’s dealing with a flooded basement, or standing in a line at Walmart and wondering who all these people are (because she’s probably new in town). Or sitting on her back porch with a glass of wine, looking up at the stars, trying to figure out what could be up there.
