A popular children's author, his poetry book The Red and White Spotted Handkerchief was the winner of the 2000 Smarties Prize in the U.K. He has written a number of picture books including Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus and Down By the Cool of the Pool. His other titles include collections of poetry for older children.
Ant Parker is the illustrator of the bestselling Amazing Machines picture books. He studied drawing and printing at the Bath Academy of Art in England and has taught papermaking, printing, and bookbinding workshops for children.
