Wow! OMG!! OK. My mind has been blown and I am almost at a total loss for words. Zeus and Brigit's trilogy gets off to one hot, twisted, intense and dark start. It's gripping, it is raw, it is enticing and it is consuming. This book had me up reading past my bedtime, scraping my jaw off the floor and in desperately need of an ice cold beverage. Even a full day after I finished my mind still doesn't seem to fully wrap my head around everything that happened and I have no idea where this story is going to lead, when it continues. However, I do know for sure that I'm going to enjoy every minute of this awe-inspiring ride! I am electing to post a candid review.

I was captivated start to finish and I cant wait to read more of her work. The plot was packed with angst. I loved the heros cruelty, interesting dynamics of her peers, the bullying and attempts on her life. The main characters, Zues and Brigit are polar opposites but when they got together it was dark, sexy and explosive. Brigit is virginal and naive. Desperation leads her to the doorsteps of Olympus. To get out of a dire situation she goes through training at the hands of Zues. Zues hands out cruelty with an ease and detachment. Powerful and ruthless, he rules over Olympus, his whorehouse. He lives up to his namesake. The balance between the two characters are stark in differences but works well together. The hero fights the instant chemistry and cant understand the emotions she brings out in him. Whilst the heroine questions her own sexuality and tastes, constantly fighting against their attraction.

If you read Hades and Persephone’s story and thought Hades was a big a**, he has nothing on Zeus. Zeus takes first place in that area. Brigit is on the run from her father and her upcoming wedding. She believes working for Zeus will save her. Zeus becomes so entranced and attracted to Brigit at first sight, but he is a heartless jerk. He treats her like the jerk he is. Amelia has done an absolutely wonderful job with the start of Zeus and Brigit. There is action, suspense, backstabbing, jaw dropping moments and twists that made me go, wth just happened. I am loving these dark and delicious stories that Amelia is putting out. You definitely need to get this book and get swept into the dark. So much darkness and deliciousness that leaves you wanting more. I just can’t wait to see what happens next.
