one of the best I've read so far. writing was easy to get into, not pretentious at all. great descriptions, with lots of attention to detail - down to the toddler's utterances! characters are very down to earth and likeable. the surprises of their run-ins keep things interesting -- the kind that breaks someone into laughter in midst of a rather mushy or gloomy interaction. story flows smoothly with some shocker twists. got hooked real early on and wanted to keep reading. seriously pretty good stuff! only "complaint" is the plug of the other two (actually, four) characters at the end chapters -- that felt totally out of place. i get it, it's just PR on the next book(s), but it didn't connect well to this story, aside from those characters coming to the same town. besides, the new characters seem wayyyy too familiar, almost same this book's -- bleh. the mentioning of two other names was unnecessary, but way more forgiveable now that i know they are also featured in another book.

Single Dad’s Waitress is a cute, fun and flirtatious romance full of wading through life’s difficulties and finding your perfect match. It can be tough navigating life, and even tougher trying to find the right person for you. This was a great romcom filled with sweetness and a little bit of spice!

1st chapter: in the beginning of the morning it's a Friday crowd that Valentine is preparing for, then hours later it's a Tuesday... these little details are important and messing them up ruined it for me
