About the author

Dr Amrita Dwivedi is an assistant professor at the Department of Humanistic Studies of the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. She is an environmental scientist, and her research interests include sanitation and health, waste management, housing and hygiene. She has published several research papers in refereed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters, and has presented many of these papers at both international and national conferences and seminars. She has also authored and co-authored two books. She has worked as Co-Project Investigator on several projects. She has supervised multiple MSc theses and has played a key role in designing undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
