I have read it twice now. I like the turning around of the Shaw family to liking Polly for her own sake, not her appearance. I like the loyalty shown and playtimes Polly and the Shaw family had.

Loved this book; Louisa May Alcott is one of my favorite authors. Her characters are full, dynamic, and real-to-life. "An Old Fashioned Girl" is a fine work which captivates the reader as one grows to know Polly, Tom, Fanny, Maud, and all the others more thoroughly on each page. I highly recommend!!!

I grew up reading reading this book and it's one of my favorite. Its good, old fasion writing that never goes out of style
