About the author

Andrew Woods is an experienced Software Engineer, Manager and host of the podcast, The Rules of Software Development. Having completed a Master’s Degree from Trinity College Dublin, Andrew began his career as a software engineer in 2005. Since then, he has worked in back-end development, front-end development, Android development, and held leadership roles in some of the world’s biggest companies including AOL, Verizon and Mastercard. 




He has worked on many different types of projects including building Mobile Network components, front-end applications, RSS reader applications, video applications, email applications, property portal applications and telematics applications. 

His vast array of experience with different technologies, different industries and differing teams gives him a unique insight into what is required to be a complete software professional.
