About the author

After moving to Melbourne from England in 2003, John Murray began writing for Australia’s highest-selling weekly sports magazine, the AFL Record, after a crash course in Australian rules football. He edited a children’s Aussie rules magazine for four years and has worked on the sport desks of several national newspapers. John was recently part of the publications team at the London 2012 organizing committee, and has written and edited books on tennis, cricket, football, netball and Aussie rules.

John is not related to Andy Murray, but he is a big tennis fan!
