Mit den neu überarbeiteten Lehrplänen im Sport sollen zunehmend Trendsportarten betont werden, so auch der Fitnessbereich, der eine Vielzahl von Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten eröffnet. Aerobic ist durch seine anerkannte Stellung in den Fitnesscentern bzw. im außerschulischen Bereich allgemein gut geeignet, um vor allem Schülerinnen zum andauernden Sporttreiben zu motivieren und zu befähigen.
